What you can ask Granola

Ask in plain language, with no slash commands. Granola replies in the thread so the whole team sees the result.

These are examples of the kind of request to try. What Granola can do depends on your Granola account and permissions.

How to chat with Granola in a channel

  1. Enable it for the workspace. An admin or owner opens the Apps tab, switches to MCP, finds Granola and enables it.
  2. Connect your account. Each person signs in to Granola once. FabricLoop acts as you, using your permissions.
  3. Message it directly. Select Granola in the left nav or in Messages to chat with it in its own channel.
  4. Or mention it in any channel. Type @, pick Granola and describe what you want. It replies in the thread on your message, so everyone in the channel can see it, and you can keep going there for follow-ups.

Read more in the help centre: talk to an installed app, the MCP catalog and installing a channel app.

Granola integration FAQ

What is the Granola MCP server URL?

The Granola MCP server is at https://mcp.granola.ai/mcp. FabricLoop connects to it for you when an admin enables Granola, so you do not paste the URL anywhere.

How do I use Granola in FabricLoop?

An admin enables Granola from the Apps tab under MCP and each person connects their own Granola account. Then select Granola in the left nav or in Messages to chat with it in its own channel, or type @ in any channel, pick Granola and ask in plain language. In a channel it replies in the thread.

Who can see what Granola returns?

Granola replies in the channel thread, so everyone in that channel sees the answer. It uses the connecting person's Granola permissions, and the connection does not expand anyone's membership in FabricLoop.
