What typically moves — and what does not.

Every migration is assisted and scoped with you first — nothing moves automatically in the background. Here is the honest shape of what usually transfers cleanly and what usually needs to be rebuilt.

Slack
Typically brought overChannels as Groups, active threads as conversation history, and the people in them.
How we assistWe scope which channels matter most with you — usually the highest-traffic ones first — then recreate them as FabricLoop Groups.
Not automaticFull message-by-message history, reactions, and third-party app integrations are not auto-migrated; we bring over what you tell us matters and you can keep Slack open, read-only, for older archive search.
Microsoft Teams
Typically brought overTeams/channels as Groups, files linked from SharePoint, and active conversation context.
How we assistBest done team by team — we help you pick a pilot group first, since Teams setups vary a lot by org.
Not automaticDeep Microsoft 365 integrations (SharePoint permissions, Entra ID groups, Planner/Loop components) are not automatically re-created — you rebuild the workflow in FabricLoop rather than lifting it 1:1.
Asana
Typically brought overProjects as Groups, tasks with assignees and due dates, and task comments as conversation.
How we assistSend us an export or admin access and we will map projects to Groups and tasks into FabricLoop's task system.
Not automaticCustom fields, portfolios, and complex automation rules do not map one-to-one — we help you decide what to simplify versus recreate.

How we assistBoard structure varies a lot team to team, so we walk through your specific boards with you before moving anything.
Not automaticAutomations, dashboards, and non-task board types (CRM-style boards, docs) are not automatically converted — expect to rebuild these rather than import them.
Wrike
Typically brought overProjects as Groups and tasks with owners, linked to the conversation that created them.
How we assistWe prioritize the projects generating the most side-channel chat in Slack or email first.
Not automaticResource management, proofing workflows, and approval chains are not migrated automatically — Wrike's deeper PMO features have no direct FabricLoop equivalent yet.
Notion
Typically brought overPages and docs as FabricLoop notes, linked to the Group they belong to.
How we assistWe help convert your most-used pages first; large wikis are usually migrated in phases.
Not automaticDatabases, relations, and formulas do not convert automatically — treat heavily-structured Notion databases as a rebuild, not a lift-and-shift.
Common questions

Before you move anything.

Is migration self-serve or assisted?
Assisted. We work with you to scope what to bring over — there is no automated one-click importer, because the mapping decisions (which channel becomes which Group, which board becomes which task view) are worth getting right rather than fast.
Can we run FabricLoop and our old tool at the same time?
Yes — most teams do, for as long as they need. There is no requirement to cut over all at once, and Free has no per-seat cap while you evaluate.
How are permissions handled?
You set up Groups and membership in FabricLoop directly; we do not automatically carry over your old tool's permission model, since access patterns are a good moment to reset rather than copy.
What about HIPAA or SSO during migration?
Enterprise includes SSO/SAML and audit logs, and we will set up a Business Associate Agreement before any protected health information moves — talk to us before you start if that applies to you.
Is there a cost to import or export our data?
No — import and export assistance is free, both moving in and if you ever decide to leave.
